The Opportunity

We are seeking a strong Staff Accountant.  Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and have excellent organizational skills.  Position requires a high level of correspondence with our sales force, and with customers & vendors.  Accuracy and attention to detail is a must. Must be strong in Excel and other Microsoft applications and be able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment, high growth environment.   

Responsibilities

  • General Accounting including creating and posting journal entries, account reconciliation & bank reconciliations
  • Manage fixed asset schedules and prepare relevant journal entries (additions, disposals, and depreciation)
  • Manage inventory schedule and prepare relevant journal entries (additions, disposals)
  • Create and maintain commission reports
  • Create management reports as needed
  • Working with outside and bank auditors, provide information as requested
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, experience a plus
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and accounting systems. (Microsoft GP a Plus)
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate with other company associates
